The two main objectives of this report were firstly to confirm the details of an earlier study which identified the major components evolved during hot gas welding of certain plastics and secondly to determine the concentrations of the major components. The report is closely linked to Contract Research Report 87, "Products Evolved During Laser Cutting of Plastics".
