This report summarizes the findings of a study to investigate the ease with which safety competences could be included in the Information Technology Industry Training Organization (ITITO) Standards and Statements of Competence for Information Technology. It is intended for all sectors using computer-controlled equipment in safety-related applications. It aims to raise awareness of training requirements for staff and stimulate debate on the development of NVQs for IT practitioners in this field.
