These explanatory notes relate to the Police, Public Order and Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 2006 (asp 10) (ISBN 0105901008) which contains four parts and includes provisions: i) to establish the Scottish Police Services Authority, the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency and the Police Complaints Commissioner for Scotland with further provisions relating to allowances payable to special constables, appointments of assistant inspectors and staff officers in Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary for Scotland; and ii) to introduce football banning orders, to amend the provisions of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 concerning public processions, to make changes to legislation in respect of offensive weapons, and to introduce police powers of search and arrest in respect of fireworks offences.
