'Generic Risk Assessment (GRA) 5.3 - Incidents Involving Chemicals' is part of a new series of GRAs that are the result of a ten year consultation period. The GRAs in this series have been designed to safeguard fire and rescue personnel and members of the public.
This GRA is supplied as a loose-leaf document. A binder pack containing an introduction to the series, contents and dividers is available to order separately. The binder is the ideal solution for storing the loose-leaf GRAs.
The GRAs are also available to purchase as A5, bound publications.

Examination of the hazards, risks and controls that relate to carrying out decontamination at an incident involving a hazardous substance.
Incidents of a traditional hazardous material nature, predominantly involving the decontamination of fire crews and equipment.
Incidents involving terrorist activity and the resultant mass decontamination of casualties.
This assessment does not cover mass decontamination. Depending on the nature and scale of the incident a variety of significant hazards may be present. Therefore contents of other specific generic risk assessments may need to be considered.
